I am a professional musician specializing in trumpet performance and instruction, with a strong commitment to both artistic excellence and musical leadership. My work bridges performance, education, and arts administration, allowing me to contribute meaningfully to ensembles, students, and organizations alike. Whether on stage, in the rehearsal room, or behind the scenes, I bring focus, reliability, and a deep respect for the collaborative nature of music-making.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance at Miami University’s College of Creative Arts, with an expected graduation date of May 2027. I maintain a 3.82 GPA and am completing a minor in Arts Management, reflecting my commitment to both musical excellence and the administrative skills necessary to support successful arts organizations. In addition to my academic studies, I serve as a Student Ambassador for the Department of Music, representing the program to prospective students and families.
My academic achievements have been recognized through multiple awards and scholarships, including the L.B. and W.A. Hermann Scholarship, Mary Evans Rees Memorial Scholarship, RedHawk Excellence Scholarship, and a Music Scholarship, which collectively acknowledge my performance ability, academic dedication, and leadership within the music department.
Beyond my university training, I am a Certified Coach through Coaches’ Tool Chest and hold a Pupil Activity Permit from the Ohio State Board of Education. These credentials support my work as an instructor and mentor, ensuring a safe, structured, and professional learning environment for students.
As a performer, I am active in a wide range of orchestral, wind ensemble, chamber, and theatrical settings. I have served as principal trumpet with the Miami University Symphony Orchestra and the Miami University Wind Ensemble, and I regularly perform with the Miami University Brass Ensemble. I am also a founding member of the Red Brick Brass Quintet, a student-led chamber ensemble that performs for campus events and outreach concerts at local high schools. In addition, I have performed as the lead trumpet and flugelhorn with the Miami University Stage Left Pit Orchestra, gaining extensive experience in musical theater and commercial-style playing. Alongside my performance work, I have served as a trumpet instructor for the West Clermont High School Marching Band since 2024, working closely with students to develop technique, musicianship, and ensemble skills.
In addition to my performance career, I have significant experience in marketing, operations, and organizational support for music and performing arts institutions. I have worked as a Brass Institute Intern with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, where I helped organize physical and digital music libraries, guided visiting students and professional musicians, and produced photo and video content for marketing purposes. At Miami University, I currently serve as Student Manager for the Brass Ensemble, overseeing music library operations, stage logistics, and ensemble communication, as well as Head of Marketing for the Symphony Orchestra, where I manage the ensemble website, create promotional materials, and coordinate external relations. I also manage multiple social media platforms, including the Miami University Trumpet Studio, Red Brick Brass Quintet, and Miami University Symphony Orchestra pages, combining artistic insight with strategic communication to support visibility and audience engagement.
